What Do Registry Cleaners Really Do And The Right Way To Use Them
By kashmir56
Registry cleaners will delete entries in the registry that no longer have any program associated with it any more, but using a registry cleaner is not 100% reliable and sometimes you can remove the wrong thing and then your computer may not work right or may not even boot up any more.
You must be very careful at what you remove from the registry, the registry is what tells your computer what to do and what to load, so when removing anything from the registry you first must know what it is, never remove anything you don’t know what it is.
Many times I see people using a registry cleaner and not even check to see what it is they are removing, and then they wonder why their computer is not working right or not booting up any more. But to you must know your computer very well and know everything that is installed on your computer and know what will be safe to remove from the registry and what will not be safe to remove from the registry.
Many makers of these registry cleaners are sometimes calling them registry fixers, but really they do not fix anything, and can do more harm in the hands of someone who does not check on what they are removing from the registry .But they can be useful to someone who know how to use these registry cleaners right.
Many people just run it once and they think that it, but you need to run a scan on your registry twice or even three times till it finds no more new things, and also check each time at what you are going to remove from the registry. Then and only then have you removed all the dead links in your registry .
What to look for in a registry cleaner, First you want one that will back up what ever you remove from the registry and also one that is very easy to use and easy to view the entries it finds in the registry, light weight in size and easy on system resources .
Here are two that are really very good registry cleaners and that I have use for years, but to remember if you don’t know what is safe to remove and not safe to remove than you should not use a registry cleaner on your computer .
The first one is CCleaner 3.06.1433 and it does a very mild scan on your computer, and will find some thing that may need removing, it is a good registry cleaner for someone who has never used a registry cleaner before, because it runs such a mild scan, but you still must check and see what you are about to remove. CCleaner will ask you if you want to make a back up for the registry entries your about to remove. CCleaner also has a junk file scan and will remove all junk files on your computer.
The next registry cleaner is Eusing Free Registry Cleaner 2.6.6, it will do a much better job at scanning your registry and will find more registry entries and you will need to look all of them over and see which ones can be deleted safely and which can not delete safely . this registry cleaner also makes a back up of and entries you remove from the registry . You will be able to restore any changes made using the software by choosing Restore registry backup.
The Benefits Of Using A Registry Cleaner
· Speeds Up Windows
· Stops DLL Errors
· Speeds Up Your Internet Connection
· Makes Windows Load Faster
I think in the end the best thing for some people reading this is not to use a registry cleaner at all and let someone who knows what they are doing do it for then. But it is your computer and you know what is right and safe to install on your computer and what is not .

This was such a valuable article for me. I confess I am pretty clueless when it comes to registry cleaners. I sometimes am encouraged to download one whilst downloading a certain program. I shall definitely be wary in future and it seems to me that I should leave well alone!! Voting up and pressing your buttons. Thank you.
